Apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are hard to work without, especially if you're in school or on the job. A Microsoft 365 subscription isn't too expensive month to month, but that still means you're renting your productivity tools.
If you want to own your apps outright, try getting a Microsoft Office Pro 2021 Lifetime License while it's on sale for just $39.97.
The key differences between this lifetime license and a Microsoft 365 subscription are the price and the apps available to you. The initial cost is higher with the lifetime license, but you really do only pay for it once.
This license includes lifetime access to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams (free version), OneNote, Publisher, and Access. These are the 2021 versions of these apps, so they might look a little different if you're used to Microsoft 365. However, the same basic functions are there.
Microsoft 365 lets you install your apps on multiple devices. That could be useful for families and individuals who work on multiple devices.
Once you've redeemed your purchase, you can install each of these apps on one PC for life but just one time. Once installed, you can use your productivity suite for personal or professional tasks, and there'll never be a recurring cost or hidden fee of any kind.
Redeeming your purchase is quick and easy. You'll instantly be emailed a code with detailed instructions after you've made your purchase. From there, you have seven days to complete the redemption process and download your apps.

if you're in school then there is already a free O365 account associated with your school email address, there is no need to buy this.
