Hi, my ****ing computer won't recognize a USB device I'm trying to use. I'm watching a tutorial video on how to use the Audiobox Go digital audio interface I purchased a while back, and it came with a software package that I downloaded, which I *think* is a program I can use to record my music, similar to the Cakewalk by Bandlab app I originally intended to use for this purpose in the first place. But I needed the digital audio interface to do any of this, so here we are.
At any rate, when I open the app (Studio One 6), my AudioBox Go is supposed to come up under my my Setup tab as a Windows Audio Device. It's not there, and the tutorial predicted this might happen, I'm supposed to click "Configure Audio Device", go to a drop down menu, and select the Audiobox Go. It's not there under the drop down menu, just two options, "Windows Audio" and "No Device".
So I went to my Control Panel -> devices and printers and it turns out Audiobox Go is not one of the devices on the list. Mind you, my Fender Mustang amplifier that I just paired through bluetooth a few hours ago is on there, and apparently every other bluetooth device I've had connected to or in the general vicinity of this laptop since I owned it is on this list, as well as every mouse, keyboard, printer, fax machine, and floatation device. The Audiobox Go, which is currently plugged in through a USB A to USB C cord and has the red LED indicator light glowing "red" to indicate it's plugged in, receiving input power, and just waiting for my stupid computer to recognize that it is there, does not show up in this list.
Please, friends. Help me explain to my computer who is in charge here. This is killing me, dampening my spirits, and making me feel "sweaty".
