I regularly run Defender Offline.  It used to be a black screen, with text, and an incrementing counter of percent done.

When I ran it yesterday, it now had a more GUIish look, a blue screen, and a sliding bar 'active' display.  "C:\Windows\Microsoft Antimalware\Support\msssWrapper.log" does not show that I ran this scan, and I can't find activity in Event Viewer.

I ran a whole system Defender scan, along with Malwarebytes, Hitmanpro, Sophos Scan and Clean, Microsoft Safety Scanner, and Malicious Software Removal Tool.  None of these showed detections.  I also ran Sysinternals Autoruns. Nothing there, either.

I ran DISM health checks and cleanup, and SFC /scannow.  There were no problems.

Does anyone have any input?

Thank you.

Hi, Welcome to BC.

Ya, you are running too many things and are not needed to be safe.

If all these : Malwarebytes, Hitmanpro, Sophos Scan and Clean are active then you are running more than 1 A/V.  Even when running them you need to turn off the Active Scanner.

Over done.

DISM / SFC has nothing to do with security and is for repairing the OS.

Cat, those are stand-alone, and I ran them separately, to see if malware had taken over Def Offline.  I thought that was obvious...

Dism and sfc will show if malware had changed those systems.  Again...

I'm aware of end-of-life.  What does that have to do with my post?

Here's the shutdown/boot/defender set of screen shots:  https://imgur.com/a/4ndhbyj

Looks like a normal shutdown, etc.  I have verbose messages turned on.
