Internet works fine, but can't connect to services like skype etc.

So the the past couple of weeks, i noticed this weird problem that ive be unable to solve. I can connect the the internet, be it my homes or a cafe place just fine. My chrome runs fine and i can watch youtube and surf the web. But when i try to login on to steam, origin, skype, or any log in service, i get a error stating that It can't connect to the network. I've checked my firewall to make sure that their all allow through it. Im baffled  :scratchhead: on what the problem would be since its only affecting on part of my internet connection. Thanks in advance.

for steam it says " steam needs a internet connection to update. Please confirm your network connections and try again.". my screenshot capture program Gyazo says" Cannot connect to the internet. error 12007: server name or address could not be resolved. Origin just refuses to connect no matter what i do. I've check my firewalls and even turned them off, and i still get the same result. My anti virus stuff is on my profile if you want to know what it is.

Error 12007 could be indicative of a DNS problem.

 

Do you know to which server Gyazo wants to connect?

sorry for the delay. has some stuff in irl to take care of. But for Gyazo, not entirely sure where exactly it connects to ( there may be a way to, but i dont know how to find it) but from what i know it does, it is a app that takes to what you have outlined on your computer and send the picture to its website to be turned in a web link that anyone can access. On another note, this problem I'm having isn't limited to my home network, its the same to every network i connect to, and the others in my home network don't have  the same problems i have, so i know that the problem is within my computer and don't a router or modem problem.

DNS has 2 parts: server and client. The DNS client is on your computer.

 

What are you DNS settings on your computer?

That's abnormal.

 

You should not get a time-out.

 

2001:558:feed::1 is an IPv6 address. It's Comcast's IPv6 DNS server.

 

Is Comcast your ISP?

Was at a coffee shop when i did it so that may be the reason, and I'm still there. Ill send another update when I'm at home and see if its the same problem. But to answer the last question yes comcast is my isp and it seems that att is their isp.
