I just recently upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and found out that I don't like the new media player it has.    It's a bit complicated to use and is full screen.  I just want a small, simple mp3 player (I have tons of mp3s to listen too over the years) that don't take up much screen space.  I tried VLC Player, but its not what I'm looking for.  Any suggestions?

Thanks...

I would recommend using the new Windows Media Player App (formerly Groove Music, currently Microsoft Zune Music), which differs from the Windows 10 "classic" Media Player App.

You can find it on the Start Menu under the "M" letter, and its name is Media Player, unlike the Windows 10 Media Player, which is located under the "W" letter and, more specifically, under Accessories.

You can create a desktop shortcut to it, reduce its default window size to a bare minimum, and read about it here: Windows Media Player (2022).

Good luck! :)

I agree on using the built in Media Player but in case you want to try more of such compact media players then you may refer to Foobar2000, Winamp, AIMP, and Music Bee.

I hope you find what you are looking for!

Media Monkey works really well and the free version is very simple to use. Scroll up to the top of the page to see the features it has.

Thanks midimusicman79,  that is what I was looking for.  The classic player works great for me.

If you are looking for some old suggestions then, Winamp is a classic MP3 player that has been around for a long time. It offers a simple and intuitive interface, making it easy to play and manage your music collection. While it's no longer officially updated, you can still find stable versions available for download.
