burning disks????

How do you burn a disk so you can play it in your dvd player for tv :thumbsup:

With a Burn program just like Nero or Sonic Record now.
Both programs can you buy in the shop, even on Internet, I suppose.
When you have one of these setup cd., than you must install, after this, reboot the computer, after the reboot you will be come in your desktop, you put a rewritable cd or dvd in your cd\dvd-burner and than you get options what you want use, the rest will be self.
On the cd setup from Nero and by Sonic record now too, is there a help file, in that help file explain the factory what you must to do for burning cd\dvd.
Tip: When you burn a cd, use a rewritable cd., when you don't do that, you use immediately a writable cd., you make a fault or there is something else, than can you drop the writable cd. in the trash.
That is pity for your money.
A rewritable cd\dvd can you more time writing, a writable cd\dvd one time.
Also is it smart that you read the description on the package, when you buy this via Internet, read also the description there good.
When you do that, than save you your lot of frustrations.
The factory have the duty for make a mention on the package, what the program will be do and which system properties your computer must have for installation and use.

FWIW: Burned CDs/DVDs...cannot necessarily be read by every device/player, particularly older models.

Trial-and-error will give the answer.

I have tried Snic ,Realplayer and CD Burner XP none of them will play in my DVD player get error

Video Downloaded a couple of old pirate movies for my Grandson. He loves pirate movies!! Am frustrated

As Louis said, the problem might be your DVD Player.

What are the exact error messages you get.

Are the files on the burned DVD in VOB format.

"On the DVD, all the content for one title set (VTS) is contiguous,
but broken up into 1 GiB VOB files in the computer compatible file systems for the convenience of the various operating systems.
Each VOB file must be less than or equal to one GB. Other DVD files include IFO and BUP files.
IFO (Info) files contain all the information a DVD player needs to know about a DVD so that the user can navigate and play all DVD content properly (e.g., where a chapter starts, where a certain audio or subtitle stream is located, information about menu functions and navigation, etc.). BUP (Backup) files are an exact copy and backup of IFO files in case of corruption.
VOB files without IFO or BUP files do not allow DVD menu navigation.
Images, video and audio used in DVD menus are stored in VOB files".

Now I'm confused; does your burner even support burning DVDs.
What is the make and model of your burner.
If you are restricted to VCDs or SVCDs, they may play in your DVD player, but you are then restricted
by the amount of data on the disk, probably around 800MB. My movies take up many Gigabytes and even with
compression would not fit on a CD.

In what format is the downloaded video file. Is it a legitimate download, or are you breaching copyright, in which case

Also what DVD/CD's does your DVD Player support? DVD players are picky about the brands and type they use.
