Personally, (as a FORMER user of Apple iTunes for Windows,) I currently use MusicBee, and just switched from AIMP to foobar2000.

And hence, my question is as follows;

What Audio/Video Media Player Software do you currently use and would recommend?

Thank you very much in advance!
Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64-bit V. 22H2 (19045) Retail Desktop PC, EAMH Paid/EEK, MB 5 Prem., Unchecky, MDFW, FF with uBO/AG, Grammarly Free, MBBG, Acronis True Image Essentials, RuckZuck, PatchMyPC, UpdateHub, UniGetUI, UCheck, and Winget. I have 30 Years of PC Experience.

I use VLC and find it plays all codecs and runs good. VLC: Official site - Free multimedia solutions for all OS! - VideoLAN

It has many features and does convert file formats.

Although I have VLC installed...I just go with the default WMP software.  I use an ancient Cool Edit 2K to put together music compilations and I use Hauppauge software to capture/record sports and movies from my cablebox...I'm not convinced that I need a "one player for everything" app, since it seems that I'm easily satisfied with the results of default software.  I listen to music while jogging, in the car, at home when I'm tired of TV offerings...and I don't subscribe to any of the streaming offerings because I find what I want via Charter/Spectrum...or I turn the TV off and listen to music, while still doing whatever I do here in my apartment (lots of time using Google).  I'm easily satisfied with the common offerrings for entertainment which are presented me in 2022 (I was born in 1947) and I value/remember the path from then to today.  I'm atypical :).

Thank you, 0lds0d, hamluis and DragonTunes! :)

I also currently use the FREE K-Lite Codec Pack Mega.

And, I will additionally consider using the FREE VLC Media Player, but will keep the FREE K-LCPM. :thumbup2:

As such, I have now installed the FREE VLC Media Player via the Microsoft Store to get AUTOMATIC updates. :)

And, given all the Audio/Video Media Player Software that I already have installed, and all the various file formats that currently are supported, there are likely ONLY a few to none still being unplayable.

Also interestingly, my music library ONLY consists of a couple of the most popular various file formats, namely almost all MP3, but also ONE M4A. :)

Besides, of course, I have MULTIPLE copies of my music library on various devices, which more specifically are on my internal SSD, external HDD, USB Flash Drives, and CDs.

i have in the range of 480 gigs of music i am small fry i wouldn't mind MediaMonkey but free options work just fine ;) all my stuff i care about is offsite and i never keep anything on c drive.I keep my music in mp3 for ease of use but bump it to 320kbps cause that seems popular mid range. VLC is nice just don't find myself using it much. i been using Media player classic for years now with K-Lite media pack mega.

Thank you, DragonTunes and isaccasi! :)

Well, as my User Name, midimusicman79, indicates, I am a MIDI-music[ian]-man-[born in 19]79. :)

And as such, most of my 1 GB digital music library currently consists of more than 100 PERSONAL MP3-recordings of various music genres. :)

However, I also have a small collection of COMMERCIAL music (created by other professional musicians)...,

...But, even though I already have composed some personal music, I am honestly ONLY an intermediate musician.

And, it is AMAZING to watch the live view oscilloscope when playing digital MP3/M4A-music in foobar2000. :busy:

Yes, even though I DID enjoy using AIMP, from within the other topic on Soviet Software & Hardware - Your opinions please, I decided to switch to foobar2000.

Hi, I would never consider to swich away from AIMP, I have had too many real good hours with that audio-player, I hate Putin of whole my heart, & would never consider having any other Russian Applications on my PC. :notme:

Thank you, isaccasi! :)

Well, I fully respect your decision to keep AIMP, even though it is Russian software. :)

Because you are, of course, MUCH more of an Audiophile than me, and as a BC Forum Advisor, I just do NOT have the time to play as MUCH music either. :thumbup2:

I use mediamonkey or musicbee. Both of which are free and let you sync to your usb devices.
