My friend has the new map packs , he told me he got them from a friend.. but how did he do it ?

Well if u have a hard drive you can recover that person accounts.Then after that you download the map pack on to your xbox hard drive. Then like that you wont have to be login into that persons account.

First, the question was about PS3.
Secondly, Yes, on a 360 you can download the map packs that way. However, to use them you must be signed into Xbox Live with the account that purchased the pack. This prevents the pirating of the data.

If he got them "from a friend" then he got them illegally.
