Hello all

I'm some what new to computing. I was wondering if anybody knows if I can hook up to my laptop from my desktop and download items. Can I do this via a USB port or some other way. I'm back in school in a nursing program and would like to take the laptop, so I can study away from home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello noltrg welcome to BC.

Your question is very common and it may be a little easier then one may think. I do have a few to ask you first.

Are both computers running XP?

Are the files that you want to transfer less then 128 MB in size? If not, are they less then 256 MB in size?

The transfer may be easier if both computers have CD burners.

We are all curious like a cat. We wonder, we ask, we learn.

Its just a idea for you. It is supposed to be plug and play. For that price it isn't that bad.
