Seeking Assistance 'Clear Browsing Data Keeps Buffering' ?

Regardless of what you think about Microsoft and Windows 7 there is going to come a time when you'll not be able to use a computer at all. It's time to face reality and install and learn linux. Greetings. How are you. Well, I've been hearing that song for over four years if not more. Not any have given me credit for all the work I've done to maintain Windows 7. Granted, you very well may be correct but that is not the problem I experienced with an outdated system rather "Spyware" from uBlock Origin. Certainly, uBlock Origin was the culprit, no question: none. In fact, that are some on Reddit who have posted similar comments after installing uBlock Origin. I do not mean to be redundant but you or any can check my past posts including on Annand Tech forums whereas I clearly stated the same status in using Windows 7. If I listened to all the experts I most likely would be walking on a wire which you could possibly see as continuing to use an outdated system. I need not say any more. I very much appreciate your concern and assistance. Maybe we'll speak about Windows 7 in about five more years or better should the world still exist.

 * My nephew, an IT expert which I may have mentioned prior advised me of the extension. I sent him an email with a piece of my mind. It does not stand to reason where more than a few on Reddit claimed the same or similar problems with uBlock Origin. It is awfully strange and hard to comprehend that all the problems mentioned above occurred "only" after installing the uBlock Extension. I just do not buy it: not at all.

Don't use reddit as a great source of expertise.

I use it in virtual machines on a daily and get no issues with chrome. Firefox, or any other modern browsers in supported operating systems.

I have over 20 years of information technology experience ranging from troubleshooting windows 3.11 to enterprise solutions in multiple locations across multiple devices and platforms with 10 years of security experience in the enterprise with delivering security solutions with little to no impact to tens of thousands of customers.

Chrome is having trouble completing certain operations due to compatibility issues with Windows 7 or potential corruption in its profile data. Since resetting Chrome and clearing browsing data result in an infinite loop, try these steps:

1. Delete Cache Manually: Navigate to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache and delete the contents manually.
2. Try Incognito Mode: Open Chrome in Incognito mode (Ctrl + Shift + N) and attempt to clear data from there.
3. Disable Extensions: Some extensions may interfere with Chrome's functions. Disable them via chrome://extensions/ and then try clearing data.
4. Create a New Chrome Profile: Rename the User Data folder in C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\ to User Data.old, then restart Chrome to generate a new profile.
5. Use an External Tool: Try a third-party cleaner like CCleaner to remove Chrome's cache and history.
6. Update Chrome or Try an Alternative: Your Chrome version is outdated, and Windows 7 is no longer supported. If updating is not an option, consider using a lighter browser like Scarlet iOS Brave or Vivaldi.

If none of these work, a full reinstall of Chrome (after backing up bookmarks) might be necessary.

moved away from Chrome a long time ago, using the latest available Opera GX stable W7 v95 0 4635 88 and using Ublock origin

It is NOT malware

 

MSE is my AV and definitions are still being updated by MS,  go figure!!!!

 

The WORST setting in all browsers is the >>>DEFAULT<<< remember<<<< my password/payments details option

* Nothing to figure really for MSE is being continually updated for W7 forever. I'm glad you view uBlock origin as being a viable tool: 'You keep it" and Opera as well. ** As a side note, I installed another ad block extension in Chrome and it is far better than uBlock origin with no "snooping". New issue: MSE has stopped providing virus definitions. Right after I stated 'forever'> The hammer falls. No way to update virus definitions, auto or manual. Uninstalling does not provide a solution. However, my operating system is working fine with MSE installed. I may just leave it alone rather than using a third party open source security for Win 7 as that may not at all be useful. All comments welcome.

Ublock origin was removed from Google store 5 Months ago, because it uses Maninfest2  databases, which they no longer support, classified as depracted

so wher;d you get it !!!!!
