Hi Aura.

I see people online recommend 'Mailwasher Free' program in order to help keep spam emails away   http://www.mailwasher.net

I haven't totally installed it yet, i wanted your opinion on it before i went any further.

The program wants my Server Address in order so i can install it properly and to see what email is coming into my email addresses.

Any advice on this?

Becky.

I have never used that program. One application I used however is Unroll.Me.

https://unroll.me/

It'll scan your email address and tell you what you are subscribed to: newsletter, advertissements, promotions, etc. and you can opt out of them in a single-click. Try it out first, and if it doesn't work, we'll try something else :)

Hi.

I really dislike Sky email. I'm having problems even creating an account with unrollme, as it's not accepting my password, and it's a nightmare trying to get live chat from sky.com to help.

So i'm unable to use unrollme at the moment, and i doubt in the near future either.

Any other suggestions?

I read one 'expert' said you can't do much with spam, and filter blockers don't work as the spam email changes email and the email addresses they use aren't real anyway so it's pointless trying to block them.

I thought you were using the plain Yahoo! mail, but it seems that this is what you're using?

Sky merged with Yahoo, so you're emails are merged with both companies. And it's not simple, and Sky have terrible online support if you need to get hold of them. Only way to contact them is by phone. Terrible customer service for a major multi media company like sky.com.

I know my password is correct as i can log into my emails, but putting the password into unrollme and it's not liking it. And like i said i have another yahoo email address which is to do with SKy, but i don't understand how it works, and why i'm unable to see the email from sky/yahoo so i can change my password.

I don't use Sky at all, so I couldn't say. I would create a thread in the Web Browser/Email section and ask there. Maybe some users there uses Sky for email and can assist you. Personally, I only use Gmail and Hotmail (now Outlook). I don't really deal with Yahoo! or ISP related mails.

Hi Aura.

I wonder if you can help me with this please.

I have a program called 'rover 26 redirect' which keeps starting up and opening in a new window and without being prompted. A new screen is opened and it is full of words, some of the words mention 'yahoo' and 'ebay'.

My Kaspersky internet Ant-virus opens the progam in a safe green screen.

I had a look online and people say they've been hi-jacked by this. It is really annoying as it opens very often by itself and it shouldn't. And with Kaspersky opening it in a safe screen gives me reason to be concerned.

Others say it creates a vulnerablity and puts users at risk.

I've done a few removals with doing a Kaspersky scan, spybot, malawarebytes, and superantipyware scan, and running TFC.exe, which are the only ones i use these days. But it doesn't shift this 'rover 26 redirect' screen.

Can you help please. :-)

Regards,

Becky

Sorry for the late reply Becky. I've seen your other thread in the AII section, and this is where you should get assistance since it looks like a browser hijacker and we cannot deal with infections outside the AII or MRT areas. I see that buddy picked up your thread there, you're in good hands with him :)

To avoid possible confusion, this topic is closed.  Please pursue the current outstanding AII topic to conclusion before pursuing any other items on same computer system..
