Start the driver download first, it will take some time.

Uninstall the other apps whilst it is downloading, restart the machine (when download is complete), install the driver.

The driver I have linked you IS the correct driver for your machine and card, it will overwrite any installed video driver.

I have no idea what the MS guy installed. He clearly doesn't know about the permissions issue on the AMD interfacers either or he would have changed that file and made the error go away, rather than just leaving it broken and telling you not to worry about it.

Ok. The computer is finally back up again on its own. Do you know why it took so long to boot up over 5 minutes? could it be becasue i delted all of those programs?
I am afraid to do the video driver thing. Do you think the video driver is causing the main problem with the restore points going away? what about this slow start up time?

Slow start / shutdown was removing all of those Dell system junk tools... or because of the VSS problem. Now you only have one of them to address.

I don't know what issues the video driver is causing, but i highly recommend you re-install it. It is extremely low risk.

I'm going to avoid saying negative things about Microsoft support, but I can assure you there are several things to do before we can call your computer fixed.

A little sleep and some rest always makes these things easier.

I am here during the weekdays and sometimes drop in on the weekends for a bit. I try to help at least one new person every day, so i will see you when you come back.

See you then

:busy:
