After typing that in it said thr type of file system is NTFS
Cannot lock current drive.
Windows cannot run disk checking on this volume because it is write processed
Whoops.
Write protected.
Not processed

Just to make sure, did you include the spaces in the command?

 

A - will represent a space.     chkdsk-/r-/x

 

We need to run the diagnostic, we are spinning our wheels.

I need to know who the manufacturer of the hdd is in order to provide you with the proper diagnostic tool.
