Please carefully read all of the instructions, another MiniToolBox is not yet needed.

Now delete the 2 programs I asked you to remove as they are causing problems.

I do not know where you downloaded Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from, but it is corrupted.

You must run this mbam - clean.exe. and install a clean copy -

• Please download mbam-clean.exe from Here to your desktop and save it.
• Please close all open applications and temporarily shutdown your antivirus How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus to avoid any conflicts when running the tool.
• Locate the file mbam-clean.exe and double-click to run it and follow the onscreen prompts.
• It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so <= very important
• After the computer restarts, ensure that your antivirus is enabled.

Now -
Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Free (aka MBAM)
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
Copy and Paste the log back here.
Be sure to reboot the computer if required after you post the log.
The latest version of the program now scans archive files which were previously not scanned.
This can increase the time required to complete a full scan.

I downloaded the malware bytes as you suggested but after installing it said my computer is no longer protected because the time is up but its scanning anyway whether or not I can do anything with it.

Here are the results you asked me to paste here:

You have been using the "Trial Version" of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Pro that lasts for about a month only.

I downloaded the malware bytes as you suggested but after installing it said my computer is no longer protected because the time is up but its scanning anyway whether or not I can do anything with it.

Now you know why I asked you to only download the Free Version -

Please read anything that you are downloding, since you are randomly hitting programs.

(PUP.Optional.OpenCandy) -> No action taken You must Remove the programs that MBAM finds

I'm sorry, you said to download Malwarebytes and you gave me the URL which I assumed would take me to the program you referred to.   It says FREE TO USE or then it lists a price so I thought that is what you were meant since its FREE TO USE.

I Copied the log so I could post it here then I did go back and quarantine the PUP FILE.   What is the difference between Quarantine and Delete?  Not like anyone would decide to get something out of quarantine would they.  Common sense does not always apply though to computer stuff I think.

You said when the program was through a report would pop up and that I should copy and paste it here so I did.  You didn't say to fix everything and then copy it.  I was trying to follow your directions but you and I read things differently I guess or else because you know what you mean it doesn't occur to you that not everyone does.   Not trying to be a wize azz - just sayin.

I must be daft as that is the only Malware Bytes I see on the URL you provide.   It doesn't say Malware Bytes Pro that I can see.  So that's the one I copied and I don't know how to get any other one.  I wish I did because it seems like a very good program with lots of uses.  This is all I see on your Url and I don't like to stray from them because there are all sorts of imposters out there trying to deceive somebody into selecting their link by mistake.

I am not "randomly" hitting programs - I make a concerted effort to pay attention when downloading because like I said - bad stuff out there and people willing to trick someone into downloading which I have done and so now I try to pay close attention obviously I still got something.

I do appreciate your help - I'm just saying though what it is.

Still wondering how to fix my Firewall or is that where we are going with this?

Rather than the pop-up message to update files on Malware Bytes - I found the Tab for updates and used that and it was able to update successfully

I usually post to "Not accept any Trial Version" if offered, as this will confuse some people.

This is why you were being told it was outdated and you could purchase it (if you wished to).

Also your 3 Antivirus programs were causing many internal problems.

Do not forget to Update and Scan most days, and follow the Uninstall instructions I have left after 14 days.
