Here is a fix that someone did that fixed it for them:

I found a solution that worked for me

I was finally able to fix it. I deleted everything in the c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome directory, launched media center, ran setup again, and then I was able to install the Internet TV finally. FYI - I got my idea from http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistamedia/thread/811f3761-92dc-4416-8a1a-ccf0116432c6 .

Thank you for everyones help.

I remember going through this headache a while back trying to get Netflix to show up in WMC, and eventually I got it to work. The thing is, I don't remember how. I think it was deleting stuff in the c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome directory, but I'm not sure.

I just watch instantly in my browser now. It's much faster navigating through your queue and stuff, and of course you can do other stuff in your browser at the same time.

To me, it's not worth the hassle for something that isn't really all that useful in the first place. I see no advantage of using it in WMC. That being said, it is possible to get it working, but it might require a lot of Posted Image

Is there any other options, other than reinstalling my entire operating system?

Please help! ( we Must use Windows Media Center to use netflix, because it offers the "locked" full screen option, which allows us to let children watch netflix in WMC without access to our desktop.

We need Windows Media Center to work with Netflix, that is one of the only reason why we updated to an OS that had Windows Media Center included in it.

PLEASE HELP! :)

Thanks

Just out of curiosity, try running WMC as admin and see if it will allow you to install it.

I opened WMC as "Run as Administrator" then I minimized WMC and ran "NetflixInWindowsMediaCenter.exe", it then asked to "Restart Windows Media Center" to complete the installation.. And still no Netflix tile...

How frustrating.. :ranting:

You might try a third party application instead. Something like the following http://myweb.cableone.net/eluttmann04/projects/vmcPlayIt/default.html
