Unfortunately all the things that you have been told will be absolutely useless until you get the right plug.

Then, unless they have messed something up for you, it should work straight away.

I must be missing something. I've used headphones with both TRSS and TRS plugs without a problem on my Dell. TRSS being used for headphones or headsets with a mic.

I get this popup with the Dell Audio Driver.

In Programs do you have Dell > Dell Audio? If yes, then click Advanced and make sure the box next to Enable Audio Dialog Popup when device is attached is checked. Attach your headphones and when the box pops up select your headphones.

It's not in Apps and Features on my Dell either. Click the Windows icon and look for a Dell Folder in that folder is there a Dell Audio?

I'm trying to save a screenshot of that but when I paste into Paint I just keep getting the other screenshot I did earlier.

No, all that is in the Dell folder is Dell Touchpad.

Hey Buddy, do you have any third party program/software for the audio? Like mine, I have Waves MaxxAudio controlling all my lappy audio, this will bypass any default audio. If you do not have this I'd suggest you to install them or update your Windows to the latest version or use DriverEasy to check on any missing driver/plugins.
