very cool.  Use a password.  Hyper-V likes passwords in your OS.

No, you should have chosen an ISO, and it will install just as Windows normally does.  The password is in your Windows installation.

Should I have downloaded an ISO or just chosen "ISO" in settings

If the former, please suggest

Well you have to choose an ISO for the operating system to install.  That is mandatory.

In posts 9 I indicated my average level. In post 13 I asked about an ISO but b/c none was mentioned I did not download any. I have removed this VM.

Had I known to download the ISO  think it would have been better.

Thank you for trying.

Well we don't always succeed the first time.  I think your efforts are admirable, and I know you can do it.  Don't give up.

My first reply after post 13 not only mentioned an ISO, but told you where, and how to download it.  :)

I really think I require more step by step instruction than is fair to ask. You helped but I find it too hard.

I couldn't even find the ISO for example. Enjoy your day and TY again.
