NordVPN and Game Server Drops

Win 11:

Occasionally play an older online game (Mechwarrior Online).  

I've been using Express VPN for years and connecting to the game servers was never an issue.

Trying out Nord (which has full Bitdefender permissions) but server connections drop immediately every time I try to connect.

Any suggestions?

Hi, the price you pay for using a VPN.   You do not mention other games or provide the Game Servers info to connect to them.

 

You are the one with NordVPN.  Need to figure out how to allow the connection.  https://support.nordvpn.com/hc/en-us/

As to why a VPN over a good Firewall which Bitdefender has.  Will need to configure Bitdefender access to the game Servers as well.

 

Essentially you are defeating your self.
