Hello everyone!
Since October 14, 2025, Microsoft has stopped providing free updates, security patches, and technical support for Windows 10 PCs. What risks am I taking if I keep using my laptop on Windows 10?

I know some people are still running Windows 7 and it works fine, but I’m a bit concerned because I have a lot of important information on my computer that I don’t want to lose.
What should I pay attention to, and are there any extra steps I can take to reduce the risks?
Thanks!

You can enroll in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program to get one more year of updates.

I didn’t know about that, thanks! I’ll definitely look into it.

Maybe for a month.   Can alod take it up to Win11 with possible ways to do that but not until expressed interest in bi-passing MS.

Windows 10 after support ends is possible, but it’s riskier because you won’t get security patches for new vulnerabilities
