Thanks Pkshadow.

Does that seem reasonable for a forum?

They can do what ever they want.   Would you rather they have your Login stuff protected or not protected.

By glad they do not want Finger Print scans or other Biometrics, that will come and Yahoo Mail wants you to do it.

(Keep asking me as my system is capable but I do not have anything that can do that attached/installed)

Is why have Cloud flare on here now to help prevent attacks.

A forum doesn't require 2 factor protection. Can you name any other forum that uses 2FA ? Many allow searching the forum without logging in.

If you are logging in it requires as per the URL already supplied 2 wks ago.

MANY forums allow searching while others You must be logged in to use search of the forum.

Google search with forum name and topic may not work as Forum does not allow indexing

unlike BC.  BC does not allow the Malware Removal Forum to be indexed or if does it reverts to main Malware Support Page.

While Cloudflare may not technically be a 2FA, it's certainly irritating to be screened, at times, multiple times by Cloudflare... before even GETTING the "priviledge" of once AGAIN being screened by BC before I'm allowed to see the Forums. If that's not technically a 2FA, it's certainly acting like one. This is all because I like to use a VPN. And BC most certainly hates peeps to use VPNs. Because of this behaviour, I turn OFF my VPN before even trying to login to BC.

RANT OFF.

So the answer is no. I know of no other forum that requires 2FA be manditory. So why is virtualbox ?

I am already aware. My question on this post is WHY?

I also placed on this post if anyone is aware of any other forum that makes it mandatory to use 2FA for a forum and no one could provide an answer. This is strange as I think virtualbox is either preventing new forum users or is going to charge for their virtualbox app. No one is giving ther phone number and address to a forum.
