Recently, my physician prescribed new medication for me.

I now have 4 prescriptions that I take 4 times a day.

When I got the pills from the pharmacy, each pill bottle had two sticky notes on it. "Take with food" and "Do not take with other medication".

My physician is now complaining to me that I am gaining weight.  :scratchhead:

Cheers!

I'm having to take meds with food that cause fatigue and weight gain.

Restricted to low fat and  low to no sodium.

Things got pretty bad a year ago but I'm feeling better now.

@ Naught

There are 24 hours in the day.Take one pill an hour, you still have 8 hours pill free to do with what you will. As for the food/weight problem, take a slice of bread, cut into 16 pieces and take one piece with each pill. Bread is food. The risk is that if you restrict yourself to 1/16th of a slice of bread 16 times a day your doctor will think you are starving to death

Stay healthy !

LOL, yes do eat something but should as well look up as to foods may need to avoid.

https://www.webmd.com/interaction-checker/default.htm  Do not drink or eat with grapefruit/juice.

Make sure no other interactions : https://www.rxlist.com/drug-interaction-checker.htm

You have to be your own advocate and research assistant.   Weight gain can also just be caused by water retention.

Side effects must be checked.

Check what sites say. Eat a little less and as per Chris, exercise a little more.

Weight is something that can naturally vary, by up to 2 kilos a day.

I weigh myself once a month,

I now have a target of 1/2 kilo each month and only keep my records for the preceding 15 years. It used to be 1 kilo each month.

I have lost over 35 kilos.

For those expressing concern, thank you, but there is no need to worry.

The confusion was sorted out quickly, between my physician, the specialist, and the pharmacist.

What I saw was the humour in the situation.   :bananas:   The pharmacist sorted the other two out.   :clapping:

So, it's one pill cocktail for breakfast, one for dinner, one for tea, and one for supper.

A slice of sourdough with butter and Stute NSA orange marmalade covers both breakfast and tea time.

No more stomach acid generated by the meds.

Cheers!
