Unfortunately, I sometimes experience an intermittent issue logging into the BC Forums because the Cloudflare security challenge test gets stuck while loading.

As I write this, according to Cloudflare.com - Is CloudFlare Down Right Now? - isitdownrightnow.com, the Cloudflare server has been down for ~2 days and 10 hours.

As such, could you please fix this?

Thank you very much in advance! :)

As a matter of interest: How often do you clear your cookies?

I have no issue nor do I have BC cookies.   Possibly your browser blockers need tuning.  Once in awhile a Cloudflare issue but I just reload the page.

I was also having Cloudflare issues yesterday.

I wasn't aware of any problems with Cloudflare in the last few days but even if I had apart from Grinler complaining bitterly to Cloudflare there is not much more he could have done.

Thank you, wee-eddie, Pkshadow, Budapest, and Chris Cosgrove! :)

I occasionally experience this intermittent Cloudflare issue on my desktop-only computer and Android phone, but anyway, I will clear my cookies, which I rarely clear regularly unless strictly necessary, and check my web browser blockers for good measure. :thumbup2:

I used Startpage to research clearing cache and cookies, and found an essential article on Unlocking Your Browsers Full Potential: The Ultimate Guide to Clearing Cache and Cookies. :thumbup2:

Inconsistent article.
For better privacy, you need to set your browser to delete cookies and data when you close it.
And block third-party cookies.

Edge, for example, has significant problems deleting cookies when you exit after changing certain permissions.
So you need to pay attention to this aspect as well.

Thank you, Sampei_Nihira! :)

Yes, because for clarification, what I meant about the fact that "I rarely clear my cookies regularly unless strictly necessary", is that "I rarely manually clear my cookies regularly unless strictly necessary". :thumbup2:

I think that I have already set most, if NOT all, of my 15-16 Mozilla Firefox and Chromium-based Web Browsers to automatically clear cache and cookies upon exit. :thumbup2:

I think that I have also already blocked third-party cookies in my various web browsers, but anyway, I will check my settings to be sure. :)

Check.

Open Edge.

Enter:

edge://settings/privacy/clearBrowsingData/clearOnClose

You must select everything except:

  • passwords
  • permissions

Do the same for all your other Chromium browsers.

As I understand it:

You only need to verify, via Cloudfare, if you have cleared the cookies and are logging in, for the first time, after doing so.

I successfully checked and set my 15-16 Mozilla Firefox and Chromium-based Web Browsers to automatically clear cache and cookies upon exit. :thumbup2:

I also successfully checked and set my 15-16 Mozilla Firefox and Chromium-based Web Browsers to block third-party cookies. :thumbup2:

I even successfully manually deleted the cache and the cookies from Mozilla Firefox and Chromium-based Web Browsers. :thumbup2:

Additionally, I successfully logged in to the BC Forum website and verified via Cloudflare that the Cloudflare security challenge test hopefully is working properly. :thumbup2:

Why don't you just tell it to retain the BC's Cookies, then you wouldn't have to log in every time you visit us

Thank you, wee-eddie and cryptodan! :)

Yes, I could try doing that to see how it works in practice to decide if I could somehow benefit from it, but I NOT know enough technical about cookies to determine if the fact that I use my desktop computer and Android phone at different times of the day, but never simultaneously, to read and post on the BC forum would affect it. :)
