I have a constant phone storage issue because apps bloat with gigs of documents and data with no way to clean them without deleting and redownloading.

For instance, YouTube studio has over 1.3GB of documents and data even though its just an app to manage the videos of my YouTube channel (mostly just thumbnails, title, description, etc.

Gmail has over 2GB of documents and data. I wish Gmail would not download attachments unless I ask it to. But even then, Im not sure I even have any emails Ive looked at that have any attachments.

Outlook app has over 1GB documents and data. I barely even use that app. And again, I dont recall having any emails with large attachments.

Any help is appreciated.

Try Protonmail  Sorry not a Apple person.  Do not have issues with storage nor downloading anything with out ok'ing it.  Check your Settings on the mail site Options.  As you have not included /turned off your time zone and location nothing to offer you as EU and N.America is different rules.

A icloud subscription maybe.   This is a specific issue to the phones and version of ios running.

Suggest get a cleaning program if manually is something you do not want to do.   Clever Cleaner https://apps.apple.com/us/app/clever-cleaner-ai-cleanup-app/id1666645584

And maybe no one will as EU rules and N.American are different. So location as was stated would be helpful.     As a non Apple person that said that yet it was not answered.

I'm not an Apple person - but from what I have read deleting and reinstalling the app is the easiest way to fix this problem. Seem to be inherent to Apple.
