Does Android support a log that shows when a user logs into their phone ?

I would be interested in any logs that show activity of apps or internet but not app to be installed.

As far as I know Android doesn’t have a built-in log that shows exactly when someone logs into their phone. But many devices come with Digital Wellbeing, which shows things like how many times you've unlocked your phone and your total screen time. You can find it under Settings - Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls - Dashboard.

Exactly my point Loren_sem. How could they over look a simple security feature such as the date and time when you log into your phone?

Android does keep various system logs, but accessing user login activity typically requires root access. For app-specific activity and internet usage, you can check the "Digital Wellbeing" settings or use third-party apps from the Play Store that monitor usage stats.

If your interest in monitoring is related to social media activity, like tracking Instagram usage anonymously, you might find specialized tools more useful for that specific purpose. You can learn more about this type of solution for enhanced privacy and monitoring features on Instagram.

For everyday activity for an Android phone root access for a simple information request should not be required. An another example of this is a user customised Firewall, there are apps that perform this function but cannot be used unles the Android phone is rooted. rooted is not something the manufacturer supports, so why would you need to root the phone for logs ?

Google is your friend as are many other search engines. You can find anything you want about making your own Android ROM with the options you want and the software you want. Please google it and perform simple research. As a network professional like you claim you should be accustomed to google searches and learning how to find information pertaining to networking.

If you’re tracking or analyzing Android activity, you might also find tools like Honista APK, a Modified Instagram App 2025, useful. It lets you view and manage Instagram content efficiently, download posts, Reels, and stories, and even check logs related to app activity safely for personal use.

I would be interested in any logs that show activity of apps or internet but not app to be installed.

I'm not trying to be a wise guy here, but wouldn't the police know how to do this? And perhaps would tell the general public how to do it?

I'm talking about a user determining by themselves if someone logged into there phone. No one is taking there phone to the police to have them tell them.

Android doesn’t keep a simple “login history” like a PC does. You can check Settings → Security → Screen lock for recent unlock attempts or use Digital Wellbeing or Device Activity for general usage. For deeper logs, ADB logcat or third-party monitoring apps can show system or network activity, but Android doesn’t natively store detailed login or unlock logs

This is why android is not as secure. A simple text file showing when access to the phone could be easily made active so a user can determine inappropiate access.

If someone has your phone and they access it you bigger issues. You cant access the log on other mobile devices.

But as I've said in another post you rambled on in, you can create your own custom android ROM where you can have access to user root and all logs at your content but you won't spend the time to create CompOS

That does not make sense. The purpose of the logs on all systems is to monitor activity on a system to deter posssible bad attempts to a systemn and psssible prevent the attempt.
